Money raised by Greenvale AP Duns staff buys Chirnside Ambulance Station life saving equipment

Our Duns charity committee has been busy raising money through Food Days, car washes, Christmas raffles and the very popular, Win a Day Off Raffle.

The money raised has been put to good use buying 3 emergency life saving IO kits. These kits are used to provide fluids and drugs to patients when ambulance staff have trouble locating IV access in critical situations. The needle used is penetrated straight into the patient's bone marrow and once administered, drugs will be in the patient's system within seconds.

Chirnside Ambulance station is located approx. 2 miles east of Greenvale Craigswalls site.. The station has 3 ambulances which cover an area of approximately 600 square miles.
